Paris Fashion Week – Chanel Fall 2015

Wow what a fashion week has it been for Paris this year! From the return of Zoolander at Valentino show, celebrity infested front rows and what Karl Lagerfeld had in store for Chanel runway show was not set to disappoint.

“Brasserie Gabrielle” was set in The Grand Palais in a traditional Parisian cafe style with waters serving coffee and croissants to guests of the show. Could’t get any more French could it?

The collection itself has Lagerfeld’s name written all over it. Futuristic puffy jackets with origami like embellishments, little bows and sequence and even men on the runway! However a few recognizable Chanel elements were still heavily present in the collection. Such as Linton and Harris tweeds and the classic two toned pump that Coco Chanel introduced in the fifties was the only shoe worn through out the show.

What I love the most about this collection is the strong fierce make up that gives traditionally feminine Chanel look a strong modern edge as well as a brave combination of prints. As always Karl’s creativity goes beyond our imagination.
