Just A Few Summer Essentials

I love summer!!!

Lazy days by the pool, colorful bikinis, warm balmy nights spend with friends over a few cocktails – whats there not love!

In this post I wanted to share some of my summer must haves.

We sure all know the importance of using sunscreen so I’m not going to go into it but Le Tan Coconut Sport is my favorite at the moment. It’s not greasy and has a beautiful coconut fragrance which isn’t too over powering. I usually use SPF 30+ or 50+

Salt water, chlorine and sun dry out not only our skin but our hair as well. Awapuhi Moisture Mist by Paul Mitchell is an amazingly light moisturizing spray that hydrates the hair without weighing it down and making it look greasy even when sprayed in dry hair. Can also be sprayed on the skin to provide instant hydration. Really love this versatile product.

The little bikini set is from Seafolly and is a Brazilian bottom cut.

After sun exposure skin needs as much hydration as possible. Shea butter is amazing and makes skin feel smooth and radiant, I always make sure I use a soap or a body wash that has shea butter in it.

Vaseline spray on moisturizer is awesome, super quick to apply and non greasy (because feeling greasy in the summer heat is the last thing I want) but makes the skin incredibly soft.

I use certified organic rosehip oil around my eyes at night as it is very hydrating and minimizes fine lines and crows feet. Rosehip oil is a great all around product that can be applied all over the face, body and even hair. I wouldn’t recommend using it during the day though as it is still an oil and can potentially get you sunburn.

I have recently made a switch from Darphin Hydra Skin Light to Darphin Ideal Resource which is an anti aging richer moisturizer. Need more moisture now that I’m getting older :)
