Flower Power

This is the first floral printed piece of clothing I have ever owned. Have never been crazy about floral prints they are just too girly and pretty even for a girly girl like me. I wanted to stay away from a festival/bohemian look and wear it with something a little more edgy and this is when I found this skirt. Match made in heaven!

If you are a floral novice like me go with a floral top or bottom paired up with the opposite in neutral tones or a colour in the same palette as the print. This is a slightly less overwhelming way of introducing florals into your wardrobe.

I kept accessories to the minimum and in the same colour family since the top is already quite busy and skirt has enough fierce thanks to the cuts on the sides.

Now that my little experiment was a success you can expect to see me wearing floral prints a bit more.
